Wendy Chapkis Book Talk: "Dying to Get High," Monday Eve. Nov. 17
We are happy to announce that we will be hosting a book talk by Wendy Chapkis after a light dinner on Monday evening, Nov. 17, 6:30-9 p.m. in Cambridge.
Fellow BSLUG, Wendy Chapkis, is professor of Sociology and Women and Gender Studies at the University of Southern Maine in Portland. She will be talking about her latest book called "Dying to Get High : Marijuana as Medicine." The book focuses on the Santa Cruz patient's cooperative, "The Wo/Men's Alliance for Medical Marijuana."

BSLUGs Unite: Welcome to Beantown Mixer, Wed. Nov. 5, 6-9 p.m.
Hey recent UCSC grads!
We all share the common experience of attending school in one of the greatest places on Earth. Now let's talk about it. In fact, let's talk about anything and everything when we bring it to the Beantown Pub the day after Election Day. We'll have a few pool tables and free apps to welcome newcomers to Boston and give the locals a chance to meet new people.
