Lucia Small (Cowell, 1986) film screening at Boston MFA, Jan. 16 at 7:30

Dear BSLUGs,

Fellow Slug, Lucia Small, has recently completed, along with collaborator, Ed Pincus, an independent documentary about the Hurricane Katrina diaspora. See http://www.theaxeintheattic.com "The Axe in the Attic" has enormous potential to launch important discussions around the country and the world about the long standing issues of race and poverty. It can also serve as a reminder of the many people displaced by Hurricane Katrina trying to still put their lives together in the Diaspora, and how we as citizens must challenge ourselves to make a difference.

"One of the most challenging and unsettling American films of the year." Livia Bloom, Cinema Scope Magazine
