Monday, May 5 at 6:30 p.m. the Annual Planning Meeting and Elections will be held at Robin Bonner's house in Cambridge. You are all encouraged to come--the BSLUG group was organized by and for us. Our only mission is to provide opportunities for New England UCSC alums to get together, enjoy themselves, network and learn.
Here is the agenda for the Annual Wine/Beer and Cheese Planning Meeting
1. Report back UCSC Regional Leaders Workshop on Sat. Apr. 26 (Paula Felsher)
2. Old business - review of March 7 event with Dean Van Den Abbeele at the Suzman's
3. New business
a) Elections
b) Event planning.
Definite: Peak's Island excursion, Sat., August 23
Possibilities: special BSLUG showing of Lucia Small's "Axe in the Attic"; talk by Wendy Chapkis on her new book, "Dying to Get High: Marijuana as Medicine"; excursion to Williamstown; clam bake in Nahant; other ideas??
This is your chance to become an officer or a member-at-large, and make a difference in what we do as a local alumni chapter. You can run for any office. None of the officer positions take a lot of time. A member-at-large just needs to attend meetings whenever possible, give us input with ideas, and help us out organizing and setting up events. It's actually a lot of fun, so think about it and come to our board meeting to check it out.
When: Monday, May 5, 6:30 p.m.
Where: Robin Bonner's house, 5 Corporal Burns Rd in Cambridge, near Fresh Pond (Corporal Burns is right off Concord Ave., just before the rotary and Sozio's as you head away from Harvard Square toward Fresh Pond) There is parking available, but Robin needs to tell you where. Her number is 617-497-8463.
RSVP to me either by email or phone (w) 617-496-1775, (h) 617-491-3871
